Kylie Jenner didn’t just make her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut. She did it wearing the most expensive Fantasy Bra ever made, becoming the first non-Angel to wear the iconic piece. Her family cheered loudly, but at least one reality TV alum is calling the whole thing a misfire.

A $50 million moment
The 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place on October 18 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. According to Just Jared, Kylie hit the runway in the $50 million Fantasy Bra created by New York jeweler Jacob & Co.
The specs are dazzling. CNN reported that the bra features 4,410 natural diamonds and a 75.54-carat Fancy Vivid yellow diamond centerpiece, and that it took 15 artisans more than 1,000 hours to make. That makes it the priciest Fantasy Bra in the show’s history, roughly $35 million more than any previous version.
Then there’s the history-making part. E! News reported that Kylie is the first non-Angel to wear the Fantasy Bra, which returned to the runway for the first time since 2018. The tradition began in 1996 with Claudia Schiffer, and the last model to wear one before this year was Elsa Hosk.
Victoria’s Secret clearly had its reasons for picking her. Chief Creative Officer Adam Selman told Vogue, as cited by E! News, that “Kylie really extends beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond TV, beyond one singular thing.”
Kylie, 29, isn’t a total runway rookie. She walked for Coperni at Paris Fashion Week in October 2024. But this was her first time on the Victoria’s Secret stage, and she sounded genuinely starstruck about it. On October 19 she shared a video recap on Instagram, captioning it “Pinch me!!!!!” with a diamond emoji, E! News reported.
The family cheering section
Kylie had plenty of love in the room. Just Jared reported that boyfriend Timothée Chalamet and mom Kris Jenner were in the audience cheering her on.
Her kids got in on the fun too, just a little earlier. Kylie posted a TikTok of daughter Stormi, 8, and son Aire, 4, watching her walk the runway during a rehearsal, captioning it “my babies,” according to Just Jared. The children attended the rehearsal but weren’t in the audience for the live show. Honestly, a rehearsal with mom in a diamond bra is a pretty great field trip.
And then there’s Kendall. The former VS runway regular, who walked the show in 2015, 2016, and 2018, wasn’t in the lineup or the audience this year, E! News noted. She still showed up online. On October 19, Kendall shared a video of Kylie’s walk on her Instagram Story and called her “My perfect baby sister,” per E! News.
She didn’t stop there. Page Six reported that Kendall also commented on Kylie’s Instagram recap, writing, “a gorgeous woman!!! 🤍🤍🤍”
An anonymous insider told Page Six that “Kendall thought Kylie absolutely killed it.” The outlet’s sources also reportedly claimed Kendall gave Kylie “some pointers” ahead of the show and was “supportive of Kylie doing the show,” though Kendall herself hasn’t confirmed any of that.
After the show, Kylie kept the sparkle going. She headed to the after-party at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles in a sparkly, champagne-colored bra and black leather bottoms, as reported by People and Marie Claire.
The critic in the chat
Not everyone was swooning. Adrianne Curry, who won the very first season of America’s Next Top Model back in 2003, took aim at Victoria’s Secret’s casting during a live stream on October 20, TMZ reported.
“Nothing against Kylie Jenner. You’re not a f***ing model. You don’t have a model’s body,” Curry said, according to TMZ.
Her biggest issue seemed to be who got the bra. “I don’t know why they put her in the mega bra. That’s for the belle of the ball. That is for the top Victoria’s Secret Angel,” she said, per TMZ.
She capped it off with a blunt verdict on the brand itself: “Victoria’s Secret is a joke.”
Kylie hasn’t responded publicly to Curry’s comments.
So, triumph or controversy?
A little of both, depending on who you ask. On paper, the night was a coup. Kylie wore a record-breaking piece of jewelry, made Fantasy Bra history as its first non-Angel wearer, and had her boyfriend, her mom, and her big sister (from afar) all publicly cheering.
Curry’s critique, meanwhile, touches on a long-running question about what the Fantasy Bra is supposed to mean. For decades it was the crowning honor for a top Angel, and handing it to a celebrity outside the Angel ranks was always going to ruffle some feathers. Commenting on someone’s body is a different matter, though, and plenty of fans will likely see that part as a step too far.
Victoria’s Secret, for its part, seems to have made its choice deliberately. Selman’s comments suggest the brand wanted someone whose reach goes well beyond the runway, and Kylie certainly delivered attention.
As for Kylie? Judging by that “Pinch me!!!!!” caption, she’s still floating somewhere around 75.54 carats high.
