Jennifer Meyer walked down the aisle in Hawaii on Saturday to marry Geoffrey Ogunlesi, and the man standing at the altar waiting to pronounce them husband and wife was her ex-husband, Tobey Maguire. Yes, that Tobey Maguire. According to Just Jared, citing Page Six and TMZ, the Spider-Man star officiated the ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, and the whole thing went down just weeks after the pair’s divorce was officially finalized.

Meyer and Ogunlesi tied the knot on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, Just Jared reported. Page Six confirmed the location in its October 11 coverage, and TMZ was first out of the gate with the news that same day, with Page Six following up with a photo gallery.
Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss handled the festivities, according to Page Six. If you know Weiss, you know the aesthetic: nothing is left to chance, and the florals alone probably had their own itinerary.
The couple’s youngest guest of honor was presumably their baby girl, born in May 2026, whom Meyer announced to the world with a Father’s Day Instagram post on June 21, 2026, as E! Online reported. Meyer and Maguire’s two older kids were part of the celebration too. There is a sweet little symmetry here for anyone keeping score. Maguire and Meyer met on the set of Seabiscuit in 2003 and married in September 2007 in Kona, Hawaii. Nearly two decades later, Meyer said her vows in the same island chain, with the same guy present, just in a very different role.
The timeline that makes this so wild
Here is the part that has everyone doing a double take. Just Jared reported that Maguire and Meyer’s divorce was finalized on September 21, 2026. That is less than three weeks before the Lanai wedding. The ink was barely dry.
The breakup itself, though, is ancient history by Hollywood standards. Per E! News, the two separated in October 2016 after nine years of marriage, and Meyer filed for divorce in 2020. The legal paperwork simply took its sweet time catching up to a split that both of them had long since made peace with.
And they really did make peace with it. When they announced the separation back in 2016, the pair released a joint statement, reported by E! News and People, that read: “As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”
Meyer has been even more effusive since. In January 2018, she told Us Weekly of Maguire: “He’s my best friend. He’s the greatest ex-husband a girl could ever have.”
She doubled down in comments reported by E! Online: “I now have an ex-husband who is my best friend and would do anything for me, and I would do anything for him.”

How Geoff fits into the picture
So who is the groom? Hollywood Life reported that Geoffrey Ogunlesi is the son of Nigerian billionaire lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi, whose net worth Forbes reportedly puts at $1.7 billion. Geoffrey runs his own shop, The Ogunlesi Group, an entertainment and music management firm based in Los Angeles, according to Hollywood Life.
He and Meyer were first linked in the summer of 2023 and made things red-carpet official at the Baby2Baby Gala that November. The proposal came the following summer. Meyer announced the engagement on Instagram on August 31, 2024, E! Online reported, and when a follower asked how much input she had on the ring, she replied in a comment: “It was alllll him! Total surprise.”
As for how Geoff and Tobey get along, Meyer spelled it out on the December 1 episode of “The Inside Edit” podcast, per Just Jared: “The cutest part is Tobey and my fiancé, Geoff, love each other so much.”
That line explains the officiant choice better than any think piece could. This was not a grand gesture of awkward civility. By Meyer’s own account, the two men in her life are genuinely fond of each other.

It is the kind of guest list that makes you wonder what the seating chart looked like.
